BiBo Event is event-focused software for martial arts courses, gradings, competitions, seminars and other organised events. It helps you plan the event, manage attendees, maintain a live record of who is present and access an emergency register when needed.

No. BiBo Club is ongoing club-management software for student records, regular class attendance, grading progress and the Club Health Dashboard. BiBo Event is focused on individual events — registration, live attendance and safety on the day. They are related products but serve different purposes. You do not need both unless that suits your organisation.

BiBo Event is designed for tablets, laptops and event desks. Final system requirements will be published before commercial release. The interface is optimised for use under pressure on event day.

You display an event-specific QR code at the venue. Attendees scan it with their phone to register or confirm attendance. Staff can still book people in manually at the desk. QR registration reduces queues but does not replace staff oversight where your organisation requires it.

Someone may register in advance or on arrival but not yet be booked in. Book-in confirms they are physically on site. Book-out records when they leave. The live dashboard and Emergency Register show who is currently booked in — present on site right now.

The Emergency Register is a PIN-protected view showing everyone currently booked in, with their role, attendee type and linked responsible adult where applicable. It is designed to answer the question "who is on site?" quickly. BiBo Event supports event administration — it does not replace appropriate safeguarding, emergency planning or professional judgement.

Child participants and spectators can be linked to an accompanying responsible adult during registration. This link is visible on the live dashboard and in the Emergency Register, providing appropriate safeguarding context on event day.

General events, courses or seminars, gradings, competitions and custom events. Each type can show only the fields relevant to that workflow — for example, grading panels for gradings or referee roles for competitions.

Final connectivity requirements will be confirmed before launch. The product is being designed with event-day reliability in mind, including venues where internet access may be limited. Specific offline capabilities will be documented when testing is complete.

BiBo Event is designed to collect only information needed for the event. Medical and additional information can be optional where appropriate. Event administrators can remove information according to their own policy. We aim to support thoughtful data handling, but organisations remain responsible for their own compliance with applicable data protection requirements.
